HEY EVERYONE!
My name is Nick Vittorio, and I'm a photographer (duh). I've been a photographer in Duluth for almost a decade now, and I'll try not to brag about having the best job on earth...but I do...sorry, not sorry.
I'm a born and raised Duluthian and have been here for every cold, hard winter since the early 90's. It's a beautiful place with many beautiful people, and I just can't pull myself away from it! I went to high school on the hill in Hermantown (GO HAWKS) and made the short jump to UMD for college (GO DOGS). During my 5th year of college, I began to wonder what the heck I was going to do when I left, and I immediately thought about one of my earliest childhood dreams; photography. When I was a kid I was fascinated by shows on PBS 8, like Nature and Nova Science Now, or anything on Natural Geographic. I always remember seeing the ads for Canon cameras where they showed those incredible photographers in action and thought "THAT. That's what I want to do." It was a childhood dream though, that is until I was in college and was able to rent fancy cameras, take cool photography classes, and meet new interesting people. That's when I discovered my love for portraiture.
Since then, I've been having an absolute blast capturing people's memories and moments. As cool as it is to own crazy camera gear, earn money for my passion, and travel all over the state to do so, by far the most rewarding part of this adventure has been the people and relationships I've started with them along the way. I really, really love working with people, hearing their stories, and capturing who they are! Life has changed a lot since I started. I'm married to my beautiful wife (you'll meet her if you book a wedding!), I have two amazing (and crazy) kids, and we've moved around a few times (all in Duluth of course). However, one thing has remained constant: I still love my work. It's the best job I could ask for.
